Cinema Literacy

Cinema Literacy is an elective that offers students the ability to view and critique films of various topics, genres, and styles.  We will explore film making as well as the way stories are told on film.

Attendance: As this is a film class, it is vitaly important that students are present in order to view the films.  Films will not be loaned out to students, so other arrangements will need to be made.

Extra Credit: At any point, students should feel free to visit http://www.afi.com/100years/movies.aspx and view one (or more) of the films on that list.  Using the topics we are covering in class, put together a PowerPoint that analyzes the film in conjunction with those topics (say, Cinematic Devices), as well as why the film is on the AFI's Top 100.
